Local Love Workout Style
Posted on September 01 2016
This week we're featuring a little local love to our favorite workout spots. While there are many great workout options in Knoxville (some we haven't even had the pleasure of trying yet) these just happen to be on our current rotation!
Turbospin is an indoor cycling studio with a competitive but fun atmosphere. With its stadium seating, blacked out room, and loud music, you are guaranteed to perform your best during class without even thinking about it. For the competitive peeps- state-of-the art monitors track your scores in the front of the class and give you the push you need to give it your all. For the non-competitive peeps- you can easily opt out of your scores being tracked through your easy-to-navigate online account. They also provide free childcare in several class times throughout the week!
Harold provides a gym experience with individualized training in a small group setting as well as personal training. If you're one of those people that walks in a gym, stares at the weights and turns around and walks out...this class is for you. Harold's Hardbodies is perfect for someone that wants a great workout with personalized attention from an instructor without having to think about it. Individualized workouts are created just for you tailored to your own strength level and changed up for every class.
We're not sure this one can really be considered local anymore considering its franchise success...BUT nonetheless - we love it and could not skip over it as it did originate in Knoxville! Neighborhood Barre is known for its unique workout that combines weight training, dance, and pilates to create a long and lean "dancers physique". By practicing isometric movements, specific muscle groups are targeted and carved into beautiful shapes you cannot find through any other workout. They also provide child care for mommies!
